Certified Professional Manager

The CPMgr designation has been developed with one objective - for CPMgr to become the 'benchmark' qualification for professional managers. After extensive research and consultation, AIM SA concluded that in order to accommodate the challenge of the rapidly changing business environment, a new certification program was required to meet the current and future needs of employers and individuals.

The criteria for admission revolves around the four key pillars of certification:

Qualifications – a business or management degree or a Graduate Diploma in Management from an Australian Institution of higher education.

Experience – a minimum of five years with three years in a supervisory position

Continuing Professional Development – 90 hours every three years

Ethics – adherence to a strict code of ethics and professional conduct.

If you wish to apply for CPMgr designation please check to see if you have all or part of the required criteria. An Associate level is available for those individuals that have the relevant qualifications but may not have the experience.

If you are interested in taking up the CPMgr please complete the Professional Membership Application form, (including the declaration by applicant and CPMgr acceptance) and forward all the necessary educational transcript of accreditation and a current CV with your completed application to AIM SA.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

The CPD is one of the four 'pillars' of a sound certification program. To maintain the CPMgr designation, a member is required to maintain their knowledge and expertise through the participation in appropriate professional development activities.

The required number of CPD hours per triennium is ninety (90) hours. Of this amount, a maximum of thirty (30) hours of unstructured CPD may be claimed per triennium.
